New blog location

December 11, 2007

Hi there, I am in the process of migrating this blog from here at WordPress to my new MSDN blog. I will be transferring all of my previous articles over to this new blog. I will be adjusting the RSS feed to the new location and you will also be able to access the new site via www.codejedi.net. So pretty much you won’t need to do anything.

Old blog:
WordPress
wcornwill.wordpress.com (www.codejedi.net)

New blog:
Community Server (MSDN)
blogs.msdn.com/williamcornwill (www.codejedi.net)

Last day at SDM, dawn of a new era.

September 25, 2007

Today was my last day working at SDM. It has been great working at SDM and there are a lot of great people that I will be leaving behind. From Monday 1st October, I will be working at Microsoft as a SharePoint Technology Solutions Professional (TSP), supporting the Southern Region of Australia.

Parting gift from SDM

September 21, 2007

The guys at SDM decided to get me a going away present, so they produced t-shirts for most of the office and gave me one too.  They had the the following design on them;

CodeJedi is moving on…

August 28, 2007

It is sadness and jubilation that I announce that I have just handed in my resignation with SDM.  SDM have been a wonderful company to work for and employ a great bunch of talented individuals.   I have enjoyed my time with SDM and it will be sad to leave.  I have accepted the position of SharePoint Technology Solutions Professional (TSP) with Microsoft.

I am so excited to have been given an offer to work with Microsoft and would not be leaving SDM if it weren’t for the idea of working for MSFT (oh and earning a lot more money).  My new role is a highly technical sales support role and community and partner readiness advocate, so I am moving away for the delivery side of the IT services business, which should be an interesting challenge and change.   I plan to continue blogging at CodeJedi.NET and also plan to stay on the MOSSIG board (although in a lesser public front).  I am really looking forward to this change and will keep you all updated on how it all pans out over the next few months.

CodeJedi has moved

March 2, 2007

After lots of trouble with the RSS feeds under Blogger, I have made the move and relocated my blog to WordPress. My RSS feed will be the same as always http://feeds.feedburner.com/CodeJediNET. If you are reading this post via RSS, be sure to check out the new look blog site.

More CodeJedi logos

February 8, 2007

Earlier this year I put out the call to design some CodeJedi.NET logos for my blog site. I thought I would share a few more of the submitted designs with you (thanks Chris and Andrew).

www.codejedi.net

January 15, 2007

I finally got around to purchasing my own domain name so from now on my blog will be at www.codejedi.net. Thanks to Andrew Buttigieg and Grumpy Wookie for the name suggestions (well most of them), I couldn’t believe that this one was available. This name is nerdy on many levels;

1. Code – IT Nerdy
2. Jedi – Star Wars Nerdy
3. .NET – Microsoft .NET Nerdy

It suits me to a tea. I now have to spend some time working on a good looking logo and site design to suit the nerdiness of the name. Maybe this one is good, leave me a comment with what you think.

Update: Andrew Buttigieg has put together a mash of my blog photo, Obi-won Kenobi and my CodeJedi.net logo, so bad that it is good. Thanks Andrew, I may just use that one…
